Abstract Submissions

The Call for Abstracts is now closed.

Submissions are being reviewed by experts on the Conference Technical program Committee. Authors will be notified of their acceptance status in early June. This three day conference brings together research scientists, experts, and professionals from around the world to discuss a wide range of topics related to meteorology for air quality applications. This year’s conference will take place from September 13 - 15th in Davis, California. 

As you continue to plan ahead for participating in MAC-MAQ 2023, please make note of the following important dates:


A Call for Abstracts will go out on March 20, 2023

Abstracts should relate to one or more of the following topics:

  • M3: Merging Measurements & Models
  • Modeling of Processes Across Multiple Scales
  • Meteorology-Chemistry Coupling, Feedbacks, and Interactions
  • Breakthrough Innovations in Atmospheric & Air Quality Modeling
  • Unique/Extreme Events and their Impacts on Meteorology and Air Quality
  • Composition and Operational Forecasting from Daily to Seasonal Scales

When the Call for Abstracts goes out, you will need to include a title, abstract, presenting author's organization information and biography and information on the additional authors. Abstracts will need to be no more than 1500 characters (including punctuation/spaces). 

Each proposal may be submitted for consideration to your top three sessions for review and you are permitted to submit more than one abstract. Abstracts that are not chosen for a Podium Presentation will have the opportunity to give a Poster Presentation.
